Digital Video Engine-2(DVE-2) for Stand-alone
  • Digital Video Engine-2是為多媒體數位信號處理發展所設計,以 Philips Nexperia (previously called TriMedia) 200MHz處理器構成的CPU核心,使用者買來直接就可以用,而不必做任何修改。

  • 包含Flash memory 'DiskOnChip'用來儲存程式和資料,為一個獨立處理的板子。

  • 硬體架構上也包含TCP/IP通訊連接阜,影像聲音可透過DVE-2's Ethernet  interface來壓縮傳送,使發展成為WEB Cam Video Server...等。

  • 它同時也包含 TriMedia 軟體發展環境(SDE),此包羅廣泛的軟體使多媒體的應用程式得以在 TriMedia 架構下,利用 CC++ 完全流暢的發展與最佳化。

  • Video, audio and data I/O
  1. The DVE-2 has four sets of ports for video camera, video display, audio, and RS232 camera control. These connect to the TM-1300 chip’s integrated peripherals for concurrent real time video, audio and telecoms I/O and are readily accessible from software programs in C or C++.

  2. The 10/100 Ethernet bus provides for data transfer across networks in a distributed system.

  3. The I/O peripherals are supported by library software functions which make programming I/O, and especially multitasking I/O, easier.

  • Flash ‘DiskOnChip’ subsystem  

  1. The DVE-2 has an optional flash memory ‘DiskOnChip’ subsystem: this permits the DVE-2 to store video and audio data locally for a time: forinstance to store high-resolution images on an alarm condition or to cover breaks in transmission.

  2. The TM-1300 processor is the ‘host’ processor for the disk operating system.

  3. The flash disk can be configured so that the program is loaded from flash disk at power-on, and executed. This facilitates development and porting from traditional desktop PC systems.
