Imaging Evaluation
Kit - IEK C64x

Stand alone or PCI-based system, this kit is used for high-end
applications in imaging and telecommunication fields from
evaluation to development stage using FPGA development and
software optimization on the very latest Texas Instruments TMS320C64x
DSP.
The board exists in 'C6414, 'C6415 or 'C6416 versions.(600MHz,720MHz,1GHz
DSP)

Overview
|
The Processing resources section
is complete:
- 256 MB SDRAM on A-Bus
- 8 MB SDRAM on B-Bus
- 4 MB Flash
- FPGA processing capability (up to 100 Kgates)
Resources allocation flexibility (duplication of memory on
the 2 buses) maximises flexibility of use.
The general-use interfaces are:
- Serial links interfaces for data: McBSP, RS422, LVDS
- Serial links interfaces for control: RS232
- Two high-speed 32 bits expansion ports (daughter module
connection or expansion link)
- One Cross-Platform Daughter slot (cf TI standard
SPRU 711: allows Networking add-on)
- Utopia II interface
This large number of different interfaces allows any kind
of applications and specificity.
The main Imaging features are:
- Video acquisition (NTSC or PAL)
- Video generation (NTSC, PAL or RGB)
- Audio acquisition (stereo, line level, CD quality +
microphone input)
- Audio generation (stereo, line level, CD quality )
- I2S link (synthesized with McBSP)
Analog and digital audio / video I/Os reply to the whole
range of analog imaging systems.
The Evaluation board can be used in stand alone system
(power supply connector and Flash memory for this use) or in
PCI system.
