Create a Block Diagram to Implement your Algorithm

The entire Code Generation process is straightforward.  Using either Hyperception’s component-based RIDE or Block Diagram DSP products, you construct a block diagram implementation of your design algorithm.  Hundreds of block components are available for use in your application, and powerful features such as conditional and parameter connection logic can be applied to your design.  True n-level hierarchy is also supported.  The screen shot shown above illustrates a block diagram simulation that is being executed in the RIDE software environment.

Use the Source Code Generator to Produce the DSP Code for your Algorithm

Once you have created your DSP design in either the RIDE or Block Diagram environments you can generate the source code that will implement your algorithm.

The C/DSP Source Code Generator tool allows you to select your newly designed block diagram worksheet.  You have several code generation options that can be selected.  These include specifying target DSP device, memory model used, compiler selection, optimizations, and more.

With the push of a button, the Source Code Generator will quickly produce all of the source code required to implement your design algorithm.  A DSP project is also constructed for your algorithm, and your completed project is automatically loaded into your specified DSP C-compiler.  The screen shot shown above shows a typical code generation session.

Build the DSP Project and Execute the DSP Program on Target Hardware

The C/DSP Source Code Generator will automatically produce all of the source code required to implement your algorithm. A DSP project is automatically constructed, and the entire application compiled with a DSP C-compiler for subsequent execution on your target DSP hardware. As can be seen in the example shown below, the Source Code Generator produced a Code Composer Studio project for use on a Texas Instruments DSK6711 DSP board. The entire design process provides for fast project turnaround, and delivers superior performance.
