Video Codec is a highly
optimized video encoding and decoding library intended for
portable
applications. Reduced memory and
MIPS enable encoding sequences with larger resolution at
same processor frequency and allow
the utilization of the library in portable devices (PDA's,
digital cameras, Set Top Boxes,
others).
Optimized algorithms and code enable real-time encoding or decoding
up to D1 and higher resolutions. This permits the deployment of
the library in a variety of interactive and streaming
applications.
Proprietary efficient Motion Estimation and zero DCT coefficients
prediction algorithms
are implemented in the Codec. These
algorithms significantly reduce computational
complexity and power consumption of the encoder. Proprietary
Balanced Losses Optimized Rate Control algorithm supports wide
resolution range and allows flexible speed / quality tuning.
This library also meets requirements defined in the 3GPP
specifications and
enables
MPEG-4 and/or H.263 codestream
creation and decoding.
