The C5510 Prototype Board is a low-cost, general-purpose platform for early evaluation of the TMX320VC5510 DSP. User's can begin development, analysis and testing of C55x digital signal processor (DSP) algorithms and applications.

The Prototype Board is bundled with a software support update to C5000 Code Composer Studio IDE that includes an updated Code Composer Studio PCI driver; example applications with source code; and various utility applications.

SPECFICATIONS
The Prototype Board is a short PCI board with approximate dimensions of 4.2 inches wide, 8.5 inches long, intended for use in a PCI expansion slot on your computer's motherboard. A standard 14-pin JTAG header is on board for optional stand-alone desktop operation with the use of an external power supply and XDS510 or XDS510WS emulator. (external power supply and emulator are not included)

The Prototype Board features the TMX320VC5510 DSP that enables full-speed verification of C55x code with Code Composer Studio. The board also provides a PCI interface, external memory, an audio codec and embedded JTAG emulation support. Connectors on the Prototype Board provide the DSP's external memory interfaces and peripheral signals that enable its functionality to be expanded with custom or third-party Daughter boards.

The Prototype Board provides a C55x and PCI2040 hardware reference design that can assist you in the development of your own products.
